Village Cooking Channel is one of the popular YouTube channel created by a group of Chinna Veeramangalam youngsters in 2018. Chinna Veeramangalam is a rural area of Pudukottai district in Tamil Nadu, India. Now the name is reached the global level and recognized by food lovers and audiences. Village Cooking Channel (VCC) reached over 1 crore subscribers by their traditional cooking videos.
It is the first Tamil youtube channel in South India to reach 10M subscribers. The channel has culinary experts and young graduates – Subramanian (M Phil in Commerce), Murugesan, Periyathambi (Caterer), Tamilselvan, Ayyanar, Muthumanickam (Catering). For the successive 1 cr subscribers, they received the Diamond button from the YouTube Channel. They also received award from Behindwoods and Blacksheep.
These YouTube channel stars are basically farmers by profession and later utilized their digital world by started uploading their traditional cooking videos. They use to upload 4- 5 videos per week and due to the covid pandemic, their upload was reduced to 1 video per week.
Their unique style of preparation of cooking videos by using stone grinders, blenders, firesticks for cooking and preparing in farms, fields, and river banks in Pudukottai garnered the viewers. They also donated Rs. 10 Lakh for TN Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund (CMPRF) to aid the fight against COVID-19.
